Comparative Genomics of Vertebrate Origins, Genome Size, and Cancer Resistance
We apply phylogenetics, molecular population genetics, and comparative genomics to investigate the evolutionary history of vertebrates from the level of selfish genetic elements, to somatic cells within individuals, on up to populations and species.
Our lab is housed in the School of Informatics, Computing and Cyber Systems at Northern Arizona University.
WHAT WE DO
We are interested in all evolutionary aspects of vertebrate biology, from biogeography to cancer.
WHO WE ARE
We are a team of scientists, teachers, and students dedicated to learning about the origins of biodiversity and disease.
